Learning Through Play-- Day 4

Just like yesterday, today went a little different than originally planned.  And just like yesterday, it was a really beautiful and fun day!

Here is what we were up to:

Book Ramps and Tunnels

Just set up books as ramps and tunnels and let cars drive around!  Charlotte didn't want to do this activity on her own.  She wanted me to set up the ramps and tunnels.  Maybe next time she will want to join in!  At any rate, this was pretty fun.

Now I'm just going to read/ look at the pictures :)

Tent Time!

This was not originally on the "plan" for the day, but I tried the balloon rocket activity and it just did not work.  I think I need a different kind of string because it may have been too much friction, stopping the balloon from going anywhere.  We'll try it again another time.   Anyway-- here is our tent activity:

Two cuties in the tent!

What would make this even funner?  GLOW STICKS!! :)

Sweet siblings :)  They kept saying "Ooooh."  I think they liked the glowsticks!
Taking the picture while the glow stick is being shaken gives it a cool effect!
yum :)

What's In The Box?

This activity was originally intended for Weston, but we all played :)

Stirring the cookie batter!  Then she proceeded to put them in the "oven." (She has such a fun imagination!)

haha!!  love him! :)

Feeding mommy!

Mmmm!

Balloon Fun

Just as simple as it looks.  Blow up a balloon and watch them play!  This was a good gross motor activity and they observe how balloons fall more slowly than other objects.

Not pictured:  Reading books.  We also played the Pop Sight Words Game -- requested by little miss Charlotte.

I'll try to include baking cookies on tomorrow's agenda!  We had a fun day of play and it is just so rewarding to see their little faces light up as they play, learn, and grow!
