Here are some photos from our learning and playing fun! I only took pictures of our new activities, or if we played with previous activities in a new way. Here we go!
Charlotte decided she wanted to do some baking! Today's menu: cookies!

Picking out the perfect cookie to serve to mommy! :) |

And I just had to add a photo of that face! :) |
I just love her imagination with this activity! She came up with it all on her own. If you just follow their lead, they will have the freedom to use their imagination and create wonderful things!
Painting with a pom pom, q-tip, and a cork
Charlotte always enjoys art projects- today was no different.

Painting with a cork too! |

The finished product :) |
I thought she would do more dots with this project, but she definitely preferred to spread the paint around like with a paint brush. I did not want to interfere with her creativity! I think it's important to just let them play and learn on their own, especially with art.
Which objects will roll down the ramp?
This was a fun experiment for both of the kids. Weston mainly just threw things or watched, but it was still good for him to play along! Charlotte had fun guessing which objects would roll and which ones would not.
Cornmeal Play!
This was a very simple activity-- just put some cornmeal in a bowl and let the kids play! Next time I think I will use more cornmeal and in a bigger container. This was still a fun way for Weston to experiment with a different texture.

this stuff is weird! |
|
Hmm.. not sure how I feel about this :) |
|
okay-it's fun! :) |
Wet vs. Dry
All I did for this experiment was cut a sponge in half and soak one of the sponges in water. The other one was left dry. I put them in two different bowls and let him play and discover!
|
You can have this one, mommy! |
He definitely noticed a difference between the wet and dry sponges. It was mostly fun for him to take the sponges out of the bowls and put them back in again.
Golf Tees and Marbles
This is a great fine motor activity that both of my kids were able to play! All you do is balance the marbles on the golf tees.

Don't take another picture of me, mom!! |
|
This box lid makes a great hat! |
That's just a little of what we have been doing! I am just loving my time with the kids and I am so thankful that I have this opportunity to spend all of this quality time with them!
